TIA-598 assigns a repeating sequence of twelve colors to identify fibers and sub-units. The sequence starts with blue and ends with aqua. For positions 13–24, the base colors repeat with a tracer; position 20 is the practical exception shown as black with a white tracer so the marking remains visible.
