MTP / MPO Fiber Optic Connector for OS2 Single mode Fiber Cable
 
Description:
 
MPO fiber optic connector is a 12 fiber connector for ribbon cable. It's main use is for preterminated cable assemblies and cabling systems. Here is a 12 fiber MT broken out into 12 STs.
MPO/MTP connector terminates the end of an optical fiber, and enables quicker connection and disconnection than splicing.

The connectors mechanically couple and align the cores of fibers so light can pass. Better connectors lose very little light due to reflection or misalignment of the fibers.
